JUST A GIRL WITH A SIMPLE ROUTINE She stared off into the dark blue sky. It was partly cloudy, With a couple of stars sparkling in the corner of her eye. She grabbed the bottle of jack by her side and unscrewed the lid. She watched as the lid tumbled down into the gutters of the rooftop. Her hands were cold As she put the bottle to her lips. The alcohol slowly consuming her body. Now numb...no longer quivering. Her fingertips danced around Trying to find a cigarette in her pack. She quickly lit it up and breathed in the sweet taste of nicotine. She watched the smoke drift into the wind as she exhaled it out of her lungs. She singed what was left, an guzzled down her drink to the last drop. She layed her head down, eyes going out of focus...slowly passing out. When she came to, she realized it was morning. The sun had already risen. She eased to the edge of the roof and climbed down the ladder Step by step.

Still feeling a little woozy, she stumbled to the liquor store. Walking out with a bottle of jack and a pack of cigarettes.
